Professional Growth

There are three different ways that I can grow in the workplace. I have also attached trigger images to represent them as well.#

#1 APPLY CREATIVE WRITING TO VISUAL STORYTELLING – Because Epic Photography captures weddings and other special events, they do a lot of videos and other visual work. I could apply my creative writing skills to help visually tell stories with a creative team. The image of Jordan Peele reminds me to make my writing visual. He is one of my biggest inspirations. He will trigger me to ‘make it visual.

#2 SOCIAL MEDIA/PRINT EDITOR – Although Epic is established and has editors, I think it would be a great opportunity for me to grow within by using critique and editing skills to help with any print or digital writing for social media content. This trigger image reminds me to read, read, and re-read then read again. As an editor I have to sharpen my eye, especially while trying to grow within a profession.

#3 SOCIAL MEDIA/PRINT WRITER – Speaking of editing, I could also write for the company and potentially help run the social media pages. Through this platform I could potentially gain access to tell short stories through the Epic Photography platform. I chose this trigger image to represent growing professionally as a writer and to remind me to use and apply my writing skills in mainstream media platforms.
